As I said, The Third book in the Bartimaeus Trilogy looked to be much better, but so far it isn't that great... true, it's better than the second, and it isn't boring, exactly, I just can't concentrate on it. oh well.

I am well started on Chemistry, now, having tackled converting measurements, taking measurements, and that whole presicion vs. accuracy thing... I know, it really hasn't been that much, but it is the basics for the rest of the book!

Tomorrow the Nano forums go down... RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!!!! bye!

well, I've been thinking about it, and although Dustfinger seems to be about 28 in Inkheart, you find out in Inkspell, that he has a grown daughter, so he really should be about 40... so I don't know what to think about this actor...

I am now almost done with The Golem's Eye, the second book in the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, and though it had a pretty boring middle, the end is really picking up speed. It really looks like the third is going to be even better, though!

Ho hum

I periodically cehck IMDB for updates on Inkheart, and I just looked, and they have someone cast for Dustfinger!! I can't remember his name, but he's the doctor guy from Master and Commander. I think he could portray Dustfinger at least adaquetly. I mean, they'll have to change his hair color, and give him scars, but setting his appearance aside, I think his acting skills are good enough. My only real concern is that he might possibly be too old. Now, I do not know too much about htis actor... let's see... he was born in 1971, that makes him 25, oh that's not too bad! oh, I really hope they don't ruin this movie! the book is SO good!

Yes!! I have not mentioned it before on here!! If you have not read Cornelia Funke's Inkheart, you absolutely have to! it is a very good book, it is well written, and it has a wonderful plot. You will also have to read Inkspell, the second book in the trilogy, but I would suggest waiting at least until the third one has come out, because Inkspell suffers from second-book-in-a-trilogy syndrome. Even with a big cliff-hanger and (at least) a year wait, Inkspell is worth it. So, now you all know to run off to your libraries to find these books, and if your libraries don't have them, well, my suggestion is to throw a fit and buy them, and then donate them to your library, cause they are really missing out on something!

My Reading list

I headed an expedition to the Library earlier today, an I now have the last two books in the Bartimaeus Trilogy, The Ear, The Eye, and the Arm, by Nancy Farmer, and Wolf Tower, by Tanith Lee.

I am also currently reading The Shunning, by that lady writer who likes Amish people... I can't remember her name. And I decided that I wasn't really all that interested in Gifts, by Ursula K LeGuin, so I returned it, along with A Great and Terrible Beauty, and Court Duel, neither of which were very good books...

A bit about me!

Okay, I have already told you that I do exist, and that I'm a frogenlander. If you were smart, you'd know that I am fourteen, and that I am a girl. If you knew me, you'd know that I own the cutest dog in the world, and that I read a lot. If you were observant, you'd know that I am random and crazy.

Very good! we have now covered everything you do know about me. now for what you don't know.

I Live in an Insane Asylum. Actually, I am the Head of the Insane Asylum! And it is generally called a mad house, at leat by the inhabitants.

I Sing voraciously. Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables, Psalms, and Anything that Pops into my head. I also sing very loudly.

I have a lot of fun. here in the Mad House we have quite a few in-jokes that are very hilarious.

Now, I have realized a couple more things that you might have already been able to tell. First, I have a couple sisters and a couple brothers. Second, I like Star Trek. Third, I do online things.

That's about all that I think you absolutely need to know about me, so, tally ho!!!

Info on the Frogenlanders

First of all, Yes, I really am a Frogenlander, and yes, I really am a real person. just to get this clear.

Second, we are currently NOT at war, but we may soon be having a Level 3 Border Dispute with the Chocolateers.

Third! I AM NOT going to desert, because I love being a Frogenlander, and because the Chocolateers don't seem to be a very loyal group...

Fourth! I have won every single Birthday cake Fight I have gotten into, so BEWARE!!!

Fifth, this isn't a very informative post, is it? Well, I'm sure that the Queen of Frogenland will be able to clear everything up very well, so just head on over to her blog, and have fun finding stuff out!

Comtess' Log, Stardate 17082006.83: this evening, my family was at Applebee's, and while we were waiting for our meals to arrive, I wrote part of a story. I just sat down and started writing, and stopped when our supper arrived, and I have not edited it at all, so don't get to mad at me. here it is!

I set off down the with much vigor, considering that I had just sprinted all the way up only to find thata m professor had already left the building. As I hit the fifth stair, I collided with an invisible object. startle, I drew back; my nose bleeding. I glanced around--good! no one had seen me. That would have been humiliating. My next action was to determine exactly what had impeded my descent. As I groped around, I noticed a shadow on the floor. Looking up, I didn't see anybody, and by the time I looked back down the shadow was gone. Being unable to find anything, I started down the stairs again. Again, as I hit the fifth step, I collided with some unseen object. this time, I heard a person snickering at me quietly.
"Where are you?" I cried desperately. there was silence. "Come on out, you coward!!" I shouted. "I just insulted your honor!!!"
No response. I wasn't about to try and smash my nose in again, so I sat down on the steps and said, "I'm just gonna sit here and wait till you come out." and I waited. and waited. and waited. It was probably a good thing that I didn't have anywhere to go. after maybe half an hour, a person come own the stairs towards me. As he got close, I jumped up and blocked his way.
"Don't go by!" I cried. "There's an invisible

and that's where I stopped. I think I'll continue it tomorrow sometime.

Space: The Final Frontier!

These are the postings of the Comtess Thal, as she goes about her day to day life, creating havoc and mayhem, happily singing at the top of her lungs.

Comtess' log, Stardate 8152006.5: I have succesfully found my way through the labyrinthine corridors of Cyberspace, and have found my way to a safe haven. I am not sure how long I will stay in this harbor of peaceful serenity, but I do feel sure that I will return from time to time. For now, I must make regenerate.
